Bookings: classes and calls

People book a class or a 1:1 call with you right on your website. They get a confirmation by email, you get a note on your board, and nobody books the same seat or time twice.

What it's for

  • Classes: a yoga class, a workshop, a group session. Each has a number of seats, and an optional waiting list.
  • 1:1 calls: an intro call, a coaching session, a consult. You open the times you want, free or paid.
  • Courses are different: online lessons people buy and follow in your members area, at their own pace. Weekly group classes are classes, not a course. See "Members and courses".

Classes live in Operations, Classes, because they are the work you deliver. Calls live in Sales, Calls. Your booking page is a page on your own website: your AI puts your classes or your times on it, at your site's address.

You don't need Cal.com or any other booking service: bookings are built in. Cal.com is only for people who already use it. A free call or class needs no payments set up at all.

Ask your AI

For calls, tell your AI your week: "Open 30-minute intro calls on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, free" or "Open four paid coaching sessions next week, 60 minutes, at my session price". It adds the times and asks your yes, and it puts the times on a page of your site.

For classes, say what you teach and when: "Add a Tuesday 19:00 yoga class, 12 seats, with a waiting list." You can also add one yourself in Operations, Classes with Add a class: name, day, start and end time, seats, place (a room or an online link), price, payment link, and a waiting list if you want one.

Each class is one date. For a weekly class, say "Plan my term: Tuesday 19:00 yoga, every week until the end of June." Your AI adds every date at once (Plan a term with your AI) and asks your yes. A class that isn't on your timetable can't be booked: add it first.

Want your own words in the class emails, or the reminder in your language? Ask your AI to write your class confirmation and reminder. It shows you the text and asks your yes.

Ask your AI to book someone in, to cancel a booking, to message everyone in a class, or to say who came.

What you'll see

When someone books a call: they pick a time, give their name and email, and see "Booked". They get an email with a calendar invite and a link to change or cancel. You get a task on your Sales board with the booking, and the person is added to your people. Send them how to join before the call: the confirmation doesn't include it.

A paid call: the time is held for them for 35 minutes while they pay, and it is booked when the payment arrives. Before a paid time your AI opened can be booked, you check it once in Settings, Your websites under Paid 1:1 times to check.

When someone books a class: they get the lowest free seat, or a waiting list place when it is full. The evening before, from 18:00, everyone booked gets a reminder. When a seat frees up, the first person waiting gets it and an email.

Per class: the seat list shows each name and whether they paid. Latest bookings shows the newest bookings with their class. There is no page yet that shows all the classes of one student: ask your AI, and it looks them up.

In your office: Operations, Classes shows what's next, seats booked this week, the waiting lists, and per seat whether it is paid. Sales, Calls shows calls booked on your website. On a past booking you mark Came or Didn't come; that can start your automations for the person.

Limits

  • A call can be changed or cancelled by the person until 24 hours before it starts, unless you set another time for it. After that they reply to their email.
  • A person can move a call only to a time with the same price.
  • There is no reminder email before a 1:1 call yet, only the confirmation.
  • A class booking email has a link for the person to cancel their own place, up to the start of the class (or up to cancel_hours before it, if you set that on the class). Their seat is free at once, the first person on the waiting list gets it, they get a short note and you get a task. After that, they reply to their email and your AI asks your yes to cancel it.
  • No seat is held while someone pays for a class: the confirmation carries the payment link.
  • When your AI marks who came, it asks your yes first, one card for a class's list.
  • Pause new bookings and sales in Settings stops new bookings and checkouts. Bookings already made keep working.
  • A class has no join link of its own. For an online class, put the meeting link in the class's place: the confirmation and the reminder carry it.
  • The class reminder is in English until you have your own (see "Ask your AI").
  • Classes don't repeat by themselves, and the site lists them by date, with no filter by day yet.
  • Students pay with the payment link on the class, by card. Other ways to pay, like iDEAL, aren't promised yet.
  • A booking takes no deposit: a paid call costs its full price. Calls aren't recorded.
