Connect your AI
Your office works through the AI you already use: Claude, ChatGPT or Codex.
Which plan you need:
- Claude: the free plan works. It allows one custom connector, and this is the only one you need. Paid Claude plans work too. For your first day, Claude is the easiest.
- ChatGPT needs developer mode, which comes with its paid plans.
- We charge nothing for your AI. If you pay for Claude or ChatGPT, you pay them, not us.
- Open Connect your AI in your office. It shows one address for your AI.
- In your AI app, add that address as a custom connector (Claude: Settings, Connectors; ChatGPT: Settings, Connectors, with developer mode on).
- Sign in when your AI app asks, then press Allow. Your AI can then work in every company you belong to, always as you.
- In a new chat, say "Start my Company of One." Your AI greets you and starts setting up your business with you, one question at a time.
- Set up your AI app's scheduler, so your morning brief is ready when you wake up: ask your AI app to run Company of One every weekday morning. Pick a schedule that runs in your AI app's cloud, not on your computer, so it works with your laptop closed.
Your AI stays signed in while you use it: it renews its sign-in by itself, so you sign in once. After 14 days without use, or when you disconnect it in your office, it asks you to sign in again.
If the connector stops working, remove it in your AI app and add it again. Your work is kept: it lives in your office, not in the chat.
When you tap Allow, your AI works as you, in the companies listed on that page, and only there. It can't send anything out, change your website or take a payment without your yes. You can't give it less than that yet, such as the website only. To stop it at any time: Sign-in and security has Disconnect every AI, and Pause AI for one company. A connection you haven't used for 90 days switches off by itself.
Working on your own computer? Claude Code connects to the same address, and it can also use your files: see Use Company of One from Claude Code.
