Members and courses

Members are the people who bought a course or joined a membership. They have their own area on your website.

How members sign in

Members sign in on your website's members page with a code we email them. The code works for 10 minutes. There are no passwords to forget or to steal.

The member area

After paying, a buyer lands in the member area of your site, at /members/. There they find what they bought: a course, its lessons and its films. A membership keeps the area open while they pay, and closes it when they stop. The member area has its own locked address, so it stays safe whatever code your public pages run.

Courses

  • Your AI builds a course with its lessons. Lesson films go in the media library.
  • Members' progress is kept as they go. You see who started, how far they got and who finished on the course's page in your office.
  • Nobody is in a course until they buy it. Buyers sign in on your website's members page and start there.

Members' data

A member can ask for their data or to be forgotten. Ask your AI: it finds everything about that person in your office, and drafts the answer for your yes. See "Your data".

Questions about the members area

  • On a preview, the members page is there, but signing in works only once the site is live.
  • People who bought or booked sign in there with their email and see what they bought and their bookings.
  • The members page is in your website's language. Tell your AI to build it in German, Dutch or another language.
  • Worksheets or files for clients: your AI makes them a free product, and every member who signs in gets them.
  • The course and its members are looked after in Customer service. "Your course" in Settings is something else: it is about a course you take yourself, if you joined from one.
